We will work with 12 crystal profiles and identify how to add and identify others that you may wish to work with in the future.

You will leave with a toolkit of techniques and the confidence to weave crystal therapy in to your existing treatments and/or offer a relaxing crystal treatment.

The pregnancy and post natal treatment is a gentle therapy with soothes and nurtures a ‘mum-to-be’ during this time. Pregnant clients are going through both a delicate and powerful transition and tailor made treatments are in high demand. Many salons and spas do not offer pregnancy specific treatments so this is a great opportunity to expand your treatment offering but also to increase your knowledge base around how the body is affected, how to adapt to a pregnant client, which products to use and most importantly, how to offer a treatment both safely and with sensitivity.

This treatment includes gentle massage techniques, pressure points, aromatherapy, lymph drainage, a foot ritual and is a full body experience. The cup is heated by burning a cotton ball soaked in alcohol, or another flammable substance, placed inside the cup to remove all the oxygen. The cup is then turned upside down and placed on specific areas of the body. A vacuum is created which anchors the cup to the skin and pulls the skin and superficial muscle layer upwards as the air inside the cup cools.

Practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine believe that the ‘chi’ becomes imbalanced when a person is stressed, ill or injured. It is thought that cupping opens up the pores, stimulates the flow of blood and draws out blockages in a person’s chi. This allows energy to flow freely, encourages toxins to be drawn from the body, promotes healing and leaves the client feeling relaxed and revitalised.

Cupping can be used alone to treat a variety of conditions or can be used in conjunction with other complementary therapies. It is particularly helpful for chronic back pain, painful and swollen joints, respiratory problems, colds, headaches, migraines, insomnia, sleep disorders, cellulite, stress and depression.
