We have found that therapists practising any modality, be in beauty or holistic, have found that their work greatly benefits from taking Reiki 1 and eventually Reiki 2.
The word reiki loosely translates to universal energy and the practise is often described as hands on healing. The reiki practitioner’s hands are placed lightly on or just above the recipients body as they relax on a treatment couch or comfy chair.
Are you ready to explore more holistically? Are you ready to be able to offer yourself, family and friends this gentle yet powerful healing? Maybe you’ve already been told you have a healing touch? It’s also possible that you’d like to do some healing and self-development purely on yourself?
Reiki 1 could be the answer. This healing modality is passed on from reiki teacher to student. You will learn about its origin, how to use it and most importantly how to begin listening to your own energy and nurturing yourself. We travel through the history, uses, techniques, meditations and attunements to help you reach the point of practising this beautiful, gentle yet powerful healing technique.
Level 1 is the first stepping stone to becoming a practitioner and is a pre requisite for level 2. It is a time for quietening the mind and working with subtle energies. Understanding your own healing and energies through self-healing and exploration of the reiki energy is essential before continuing on to level 2. You can be ready to undertake the Certificate in Reiki 2 3-6 months after level 1 if you wish to.
Entry Requirements
You must be over 18 years of age and have a good level of understanding of spoken and written English.
This course is suitable for beginners.
Assessment Process
You will be required to practise 21 days of self-healing. We will also ask you to write a short journal summary of your experience and submit this once complete.
Qualification Attained
You will gain a Certificate in Reiki 1 which is for the purpose of self-healing.
